Craven County Schools to be Subject of Discussion at the Craven County Board of Commissioners Meeting- 7July at 7:00pm

At Commissioner Scott Dacey’s “Town Hall” meeting Monday, 30Jun, CCTA member, Brad Cummings introduced a discussion of the Craven County School Board’s failure to be responsive to citizen’s concerns about the school budget, federal intrusion in the schools (even school menus), Common Core and other issues citizens have presented to the school board.

Scott said he was sure the Board of Commissioners would like to hear from us on that subject at their meeting the first Monday evening at 7:00 pm at the county administrative building on the corner of Craven and Broad Streets.

Citizens can sign up to petition the Board just before the meeting and the petitions are generally heard early in the meeting. I CERTAINLY HOPE SEVERAL CCTA MEMBERS WILL DO SO! I certainly will.
