Public Meeting Oct. 15

Is Something Wrong With Our Schools?

Alex Newman co-author of “Crimes of the Educators:…” will be one of two featured speakers this Tuesday evening at the public meeting of Coastal Carolina Taxpayers Association.  The event will take place at Stanley Hall Ballroom in downtown New Bern.  Doors open at 6:30 and the program will begin at 7 PM.

According to Newman, Americans went from being the most educated people in the world to being an international embarrassment due to a socialist approach in reducing standards.  The idea claims Newman, is to lower standards for all so that “no student is left behind”.

In “Crimes of the Educators” Newman reveals the beginning of America’s public school disaster and plan to socialize the United States by knowingly and willingly dumbing down the population.

In addition, Lynne Taylor will share her thoughts about shortcomings in North Carolina Public Schools.  Taylor served as a frequent guest on nationwide radio and has appeared several times before the NC General Assembly in efforts to preserve freedom in education.

The public is invited to participate in a question and answer period at the conclusion of the presentation by Taylor and Newman.

Alex Newman is a journalist, educator and author.  He has served as president of the small media and information consulting firm Liberty Sentinel Media, and writes for numerous publications in the US and abroad.

Lynne Taylor helped co-establish PIE NC (Preserving Integrity and Excellence in Education) circa 2012 and has been a vocal opponent of Common Core from the start.  She is a retired private (homeschool) teacher and regionally recognized as a support group leader for home school families.

There are two entrances to Stanly Hall.  For easy access there is an elevator entrance is located at 249 Craven Street.  The stairway entrance is located at 305 Pollock Street. Directly across the street from City Hall.
