4.       Why are you running for this office?
I believe I have a unique skill-set that provides insight into the impact taxes and regulations on business and individuals. I have spent many years working with government regulatory agencies and business owners. Mainly because I know I can and will make a difference.
5.       As a representative of Coastal North Carolina what is your stance on regulation of recreational and commercial fishing?
I believe that these two groups can and should be able to find common ground to preserve both the fishing industry and sport fishing. I have spent some time at the local docks and was impressed with the efforts by our NC commercial fisherman to reduce by-catch and keep our waters viable.
6.    Would you support a ban on Sharia Law or any other foreign law in America?
I will and I have through my position within the Republican party.
7.   What place does God have in public schools?
Right in the main office and every classroom.
8.       Should high school students be taught our founding history and the details of the U.S. Constitution?
Absolutely! It should be a required course of study starting with the earliest levels of education through HS graduation.
9.       Would you support a law to remove requirements for “Certificate Of Need”?
Yes. CONs seem to limit competition which is never a good thing.
10.   What is your position on gun registration, gun free zones and concealed carry laws?
NO GUN REGISTRATION. Gun free zones are the most dangerous place to be, so I do not enter them unless I absolutely must. I believe the 2nd amendment is the only carry permit necessary.
11.   Do you support border security, including the wall, and better controlled immigration?
Yes. We must stop illegals from entering our country.
12.   Do you support picture ID requirements for voting?
Yes. We must take quick action to insure the integrity of our voting system. Since photo ID is needed for virtually all other interaction with any government agency this is really not the problem the democrats want to make of it.
13.   What is your view on nullification and interposition?
We should use them. The states have had many of their rights usurped by the federal government and that needs to stop.
14.   If elected, what is your number one priority?
Wow!  that’s a tough one. There are so many things that need to be done. I could not honestly narrow it to any one item. We need to continue to reduce taxes and regulation. Improve the education of our children through school choice, merit pay, remove common core and better use of the current funding. Fight to get the Federal government out of our schools. Pass constitutional carry. Complete the highway project underway in eastern NC. Get rid of corporate welfare particularly in areas of solar and wind energy. Sorry can’t limit it to one item.
