Is a Human Health Crisis Looming over NC?
Or is it Already Here?
While CCTA has been reporting on and investigating the NC House proceedings on HB-483, the “Let Them Spawn” bill, a much bigger and more urgent issue with our seafood has come to our attention. This is not a political issue or a battle between two interest on the same issue, it is definately a Human Health issue with plenty of supporting data. We hope to draw attention to this issue and inform the public of it’s severity and hope that our legislators see the impact the passage of HB-483 could have on the health of our citizens by limiting their choices to healthy local seafood. I think it’s time to put the brakes on and say Whoa, lets look at all the issues not just the ones special interest are pushing and spending big bucks on.
First let me share some background on HB-483 provided by Jerry Schill ( Jerry Schill is the Executive Director of the North Carolina Fisheries Association ) Click the link below.
Now let me share what we have discovered has been going on for a number of years and has just led to legislative action being taken in Louisiana to address the problem. It affects your health and you have a right to know whats going on and what you need to do to protect you and your family.
