Candidate filled in the answers to the questions himself.

1.       How do you want to be contacted?
Home Phone 252 672 5656
2.       Your educational background, experience and demonstrations of leadership?
Education: Craven County Public Schools, Calvary Baptist Church School.
Experience: County Commissioner 2006 – 2010, 2014 – 2018, Vice Chairman 2007, Chairman 2008 & 2009. I have served and currently serve on boards as required as an elected commissioner.
3.       Memberships and associations?
President Craven County Farm Bureau, NC Farm Bureau Cotton Committee and New Bern Craven County Rescue Squad. I am also a member of Bethany Christian Church of Jasper where I serve as a Deacon, Chairman of the General Board, and member of the Adult Choir.
4.       Why are you running for this office?
I have a desire to serve and help others. As a resident of western Craven County I am an advocate for rural and agricultural issues. I also have an obligation I believe as a Christian to stand up for Christian and moral values in government.
5.       As a representative of Coastal North Carolina, what is your stance on regulation of recreational and commercial fishing?
Through my involvement in Farm Bureau I have stood with coastal counties to support our commercial fishermen. This industry has struggled due to storms, low prices and regulations.  Our state leadership must put common sense people on the Marine Fisheries Commission. In addition there must be equal representation from the recreational and commercial fishing industry governing this commission.
6.       Would you support a ban on Sharia Law or any other foreign law in America?
I support abiding by the Constitution of the United States of America.  No foreign law should be allowed to rule our free Nation.
7.       What place does God have in public schools?
As a Christian I believe God is the Creator of All Humanity.  He is to be served by those who confess Him as their Lord. I believe prayer is essential to our lives as Christians and should be
allowed in our schools for those that have a desire to pray to God. When I was a student in public school I was blessed to have a Godly teacher who taught me the Lord’s Prayer. I do not believe any student should be forced to participate but I certainly support allowing school officials who have a desire to lead a bible study or prayer to do so.
8.       Should high school students be taught our founding history and the details of the U.S. Constitution?
   Absolutely! Yes!
9.       Would you support a law to remove requirements for “Certificate Of Need”?
I support the private sector having an opportunity to provide services to citizens.  I would have no problem with the General Assembly investigating the pros and cons of the Certificate Of Need.
10.   What is your position on gun registration, gun free zones and concealed carry laws?
I support the Second Amendment. I am a member of the NRA and have been for a number of years.
11.   Do you support border security, including the wall, and better controlled  immigration?
I do support controlling our borders. I believe Congress must enact a guest worker program that will help assist those employers who
cannot find American Workers.
12.   Do you support picture ID requirements for voting?
Yes… I support picture ID for voting just as I            support it for transacting any other kind of
    business.
13.   What is your view on nullification and interposition?
I support the rights of states to govern their citizens under the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of that State.
14.   If elected, what is your number one priority?
I believe an elected officials number one priority always must be to listen to the needs / desires of their constituents and govern in a manner that is honoring to God.
